This summer, New Town Plaza in Shatin partners with LEGO® Hong Kong to launch the 'Turn Play Mode On' cross-generational campaign. The event ingeniously blends LEGO® bricks with trend-setting music, digital art, and classic local games, inviting families to activate their play mode together. It is the perfect opportunity for creative bonding and creating cherished family memories throughout the holiday season.
Program
The campaign features three major themed zones and seven interactive experiences, offering a comprehensive sensory experience for all ages:
- 4-Meter Tall LEGO DJ: Watch the giant DJ figurine move to the beat—a must-visit photo spot.
- Classic Game Revamp: Experience a giant version of the local favorite 'Territory Conquest' (天下太平), where adults and children build flags, planes, or cannons using LEGO® bricks to engage in a physical, cross-generational battle.
- Interactive Zones: Featuring a LEGO mixing console for budding DJs, an 85-inch digital graffiti wall to design your own LEGO character, and the 'Super Cube' hopscotch challenge to test your rhythm and agility.
- LEGO Challenges: Test your speed and creativity in the 'LEGO Build Challenge' for a chance to win exclusive prizes.
Miniature Landmark Exhibition
LEGO® Certified Professional Andy Hung and the local fan group 'Legend Bricks' have collaborated to create an 'Creative City' miniature exhibition. Using over 150,000 LEGO® bricks, they have meticulously recreated iconic Shatin landmarks, including a 3-meter tall LEGO Clock Tower, the Lion Rock, and the Shatin Town Hall, which incorporates elements of classic board games. It’s a wonderful walk down memory lane for all ages.
