This summer, the popular animation characters from "Chiikawa" will embark on their first-ever collaboration with the iconic Hong Kong Star Ferry, bringing a magical "Mermaid Island" adventure to the city. Ahead of the Hong Kong release of Chiikawa The Movie: The Secret of Mermaid Island on August 6, Chiikawa, Hachiware, and Usagi are dressing up in vacation attire to greet fans at the Star Ferry piers. The atmosphere at the ferry terminals will be filled with the excitement and courage of the new movie, making this a must-visit destination for fans.

Program

Transforming the shores of Victoria Harbour into the gateway to the "Mysterious Mermaid Island":

• Stamp Rally Experience: Visitors can participate in a stamp collection challenge at the Tsim Sha Tsui, Central, and Wan Chai Star Ferry piers. Collecting the stamps allows fans to complete a limited-edition souvenir postcard.
• Themed Photo Staircase: A special staircase adorned with 14 exclusive movie character posters can be found at the Tsim Sha Tsui Pier heading towards Wan Chai. The display features the main trio, along with other beloved characters like Momonga, Kurimanju, Sea Otter, Shisa, and new characters such as Jiro, Siren, Mermaids, and more.

Ticketing & Souvenirs

• Limited Gilded Set: Starting July 28 (while stocks last), a limited-edition set will be available for HK$180 at the Tsim Sha Tsui Star Ferry Harbor Tour ticket office. The set includes a movie pre-sale ticket, a Star Ferry adult one-way ticket, and an exclusive magnet.
• Exclusive Postcard Redemption: Fans can receive a limited-edition themed postcard by purchasing the pre-sale set or visiting the Chiikawa’s Adventure event at Langham Place. Postcards feature the mysterious Siren on the front, with the characters and movie synopsis on the back. Availability is limited.

Venue & Access

The event is primarily located at the Tsim Sha Tsui Star Ferry Pier. We recommend arriving via MTR to Tsim Sha Tsui Station and walking towards the Salisbury Road pier. Please note that regular Star Ferry fares apply for ferry rides, and schedules may be subject to change based on weather and operational conditions.
