Highlights

Pottery is more than just a craft; it is a therapeutic practice. This pottery throwing workshop invites participants to rediscover the joy of hand-making. As the potter's wheel turns, you will learn to converse with the clay through your fingertips, finding rhythm in creation. This course is perfect for those looking to disconnect from the hustle of daily life and find a personal creative space. Whether you are a beginner with no prior experience or someone curious about ceramics, you will find satisfaction and fun in this artistic process.

Program Details

The course emphasizes a "slow art" philosophy. While throwing can be fast-paced, we encourage students to slow down, carefully feeling the changes in the clay, and crafting practical pieces with intention. You will learn basic throwing techniques at your own pace and witness the transformation of clay into functional daily vessels. Students are required to bring their own aprons for class.

Instructors

The course is taught by professional ceramic artist Mr. Lam Chi-kwong, who will provide hands-on guidance in basic techniques and shaping to ensure every participant gains confidence and skills.

Venue & Access

The workshop is held on the 15th floor of the Hong Kong Arts Centre, located at 2 Harbour Road, Wan Chai, offering a convenient and inspiring environment at the heart of Hong Kong's art scene.
