Exclusive Travel Notes: Relaxed Travel Sketching Picture Book

Highlights

This course is designed to guide participants in capturing travel moments in a simple, unique way. Led by experienced artist Szeto Chi-ming, students will use fountain pens, watercolors, colored pencils, and collage techniques to create personalized, exotic travel picture books. From the blue coast and historical cities to autumn leaves, you will learn to turn fragments of memory into moving art works.

Program

This is a beginner-level course suitable for anyone interested in travel sketching (ages 18+). The instructor will guide you through building fundamental drawing skills while encouraging a relaxed, creative rhythm. Key elements include:

• Fountain pen sketching and composition.
• Watercolor and colored pencil coloring techniques.
• Fun collage art to add depth to your book.
• Narrative layout for travel memories.

Students will be notified about required tools and materials during the first session.

Instructor

Szeto Chi-ming is a highly experienced artist with a wealth of travel sketching experience. He excels at guiding students to develop their personal artistic styles, using keen observation to capture touching moments from travel.

Venue & Access

The venue is the Hong Kong Arts Centre, located at 2 Harbour Road, Wan Chai. A vital cultural hub in Hong Kong, it is easily accessible by MTR from Wan Chai Station. Please head to the 15th floor for the classes.
