This course invites participants to explore five core expressive arts modalities: visual arts, movement, drama, music, and creative writing. Through hands-on experience, students will not only understand the unique characteristics and potential of these art forms but also master the fundamental principles and techniques of expressive arts therapy. This course is ideal for those who wish to apply artistic practices within various communities to promote physical and mental well-being.

Program Overview

Expressive Arts Therapy is an integrative healing approach. Over the four-session course, participants will engage in systematic experiential learning covering:

• Introduction to Expressive Arts Therapy and personal experience
• Visual arts and music: experience and practical application
• Movement and drama: experience and application
• Creative writing: experience and expressive application

Upon completion, participants will gain foundational skills in art application, enabling them to effectively use creative tools to help others, foster emotional release, and encourage personal growth.

Venue & Access

The course is held on the 15th floor of the Hong Kong Arts Centre in Wan Chai. It is easily accessible by MTR (Wan Chai Station), followed by a short walk to the venue.
