The "Tap Mun Tern Festival 2026" is a unique celebration merging ecological conservation with cultural heritage. Participants will act as "Treasure Hunters," boarding the "Tern" vessel to observe the habits and habitats of terns in the wild. The festival features an engaging lineup of activities:

• Tern Watching: Expert-guided boat tours to the waters off Chek Chau and nearby islets to observe wild terns.
• Tern Carnival: Held at the Tap Mun Fisherman's New Village, featuring local delicacies, nostalgic snacks, and various creative workshops including mosaic, wood painting, and face painting.
• Heritage & Culture: Deep-dive into local stories with the "Date with the Village Chief" and guided tours of the 300-year-old Tin Hau Temple, a Grade II historic building.

Ticketing & Participation

Proceeds from the event support the environmental conservation efforts of the Environmental Association. The entry fee covers round-trip boat tickets from Ma Liu Shui, event tokens (redeemable for selected goods), and personal accident insurance.
