Lightness of Being Exhibition

Overview

Curated by Leung Siu-kei, the "Lightness of Being" exhibition is a reflective journey into the intersections of youth, life, and art. This showcase brings together eight recent art graduates from three local tertiary institutions, presenting their unique insights into existence and societal observations through a diverse range of media.

The title draws inspiration from the philosophical themes of Milan Kundera, inviting viewers to explore how contemporary youth navigate the balance between the "lightness of being" and the weight of life's complexities. The artists translate subtle, ephemeral imagery from daily life into a profound visual language, inviting the audience to step into the intellectual space of these emerging talents as they transition into the art world.

The exhibition is hosted at the Contemporary By Angela Li gallery, a renowned contemporary art space in Hong Kong dedicated to promoting local and international art.
