Playground Multimedia Music Theatre

Highlights

Presented by the Hong Kong Arts with the Disabled Association under the "Arts Unlimited" project, "Playground" is a multimedia music theatre production led by award-winning new media artist Keith Lam. This production redefines the concept of a "playground," transforming the stage into a giant, interactive musical instrument. Through the fusion of new media technology, contemporary music, and physical theatre, the show creates a deeply immersive and inclusive experience that dissolves the boundaries between performers and the audience.

Program Introduction

the creative team has utilized innovative technology to transform park amenities like slides and swings into interactive performance elements. Inspired by the winning works of the "Arts Unlimited: Emerging Disabled Artists Visual Arts Competition," the show employs real-time computing to turn static art into dynamic stage visuals. Under the guidance of Music Director Cheung Wing-nok, the ensemble explores new soundscapes by blending traditional folk and Nanyin music with contemporary electronics, creating an evolving auditory environment.

Venue & Access

The performance takes place at the Theatre of the East Kowloon Cultural Centre. Attendees can reach the venue via MTR Kowloon Bay Station or other public transport options along Ngau Tau Kok Road. Please arrive early to ensure a smooth entry.

• Language: Cantonese performance with Chinese and English subtitles.
