Overview

The Hong Kong Arts Centre presents its flagship exhibition, "Site, Collision, Collaboration," in Summer 2026. This exhibition reimagines the gallery space as an organic collaborative entity, inviting seven internationally acclaimed artists and collectives to engage in dialogue through four distinct thematic axes. It examines how artistic creation responds to spatial context and the catalytic moments born from the interaction between different artistic universes.

Artists & Dialogue

The exhibition showcases four unique pairings that explore the boundaries of art:

  • Fang Lijun × Public: Featuring the "Ocean Ecology Series," created from marine debris.
  • Chan Yuk-keung × Shirlo Matsui: Exploring the order of life and nature through ceramics and light.
  • Fung Wing-kee × Picture Rhythm Studios (PRS): A cross-generational collaboration blending ink architecture and digital light to reimagine Hong Kong's past and future.
  • Juri Hwang × Andreas Kratky: A technological and physical exploration of identity, perception, and memory.

Workshops & Public Engagement

Visitors are invited to become the "eighth artistic unit" through the "Plastic Collection & Remolding" workshop series. Participants can join coastal cleanups at Tai Long Wan to turn plastic waste into art materials, or join installation workshops at the Hong Kong Arts Centre atrium to co-create a massive installation that will be displayed alongside professional artworks.

Venue & Access

Located at the Pao Galleries and Jockey Club Atrium of the Hong Kong Arts Centre, this exhibition runs until September 20, 2026. It is a must-see event for enthusiasts of contemporary art, eco-conscious individuals, and those seeking immersive, participatory cultural experiences.
