Highlights
Do you have a story, a complex relationship, or an inexpressible theme lingering in your mind, yet remain unsure how to craft it into a vibrant piece for the stage?
This course moves beyond rigid theoretical formulas, returning to the core of drama: action and practice. Through eight intensive sessions, participants will learn to transform abstract ideas into tangible "stage events" that actors can perform and audiences can truly feel. Here, text is not merely symbols on paper, but a bridge to visual storytelling, helping you translate inner narratives into dramatic, tension-filled works.
Course Features
- One Play throughout: Focusing on completing one specific play across eight sessions: 15 minutes, two characters, one space, one theme.
- Action over Theory: Practice transforming what the author wants to say into concrete "actions" taken by the characters.
- Deepening Subtext: Explore the linguistic textures of dialogue—the spoken, the unspoken, and the unspeakable—to uncover the motivations behind human actions.
- Refining your Text: Learn to accept feedback and systematically revise your script from draft to final version.
