Overview
"Seven days a week, I don't want to go to work." This cynical remark captures the weary reality of countless urban workers. Presented by Shuning. Now Unit and co-presented by C&MA Wah Kee Church, the new production "Forced to Operate" delves into the existential dilemma of the modern "salaryman" (corporate drone). From morning exhaustion to the daydreams of quitting and the dread of repeating the same routine tomorrow, our lives often feel scripted like NPCs in a game. But if we stop being a cog in the machine, what is left?
Highlights
More than just a performance, this production is an invitation to profound self-reflection. When our lives are reduced to robotic, repetitive patterns, have we lost the capacity to choose and rebel? Through the medium of theater, "Fei Chi Zhong" Theatre will lead the audience to break the fourth wall, oscillating between realism and satire, to re-examine the value of existence in a world where we are all, to some extent, forced to operate.
