In this lecture, guest speaker Cheung Ping-kuen selects seven elders from the book—including Jia Mu, Jia Zheng, Jia Jing, Jia She, Jiao Da, Lai Mama, and Granny Liu—to analyze their diverse approaches to life and interpersonal relationships. By examining these classic figures, the talk redefines the relationship between success, failure, and happiness, illustrating through the example of Granny Liu that happiness is not strictly correlated with material wealth.
