Overview
Jointly presented by the Construction Industry Council and the Hong Kong Green Building Council, the annual "Hong Kong Green Building Week 2026" is dedicated to promoting the principles of sustainable development. Through a wide range of interactive activities, the event leads the public to explore the importance of green building for carbon neutrality and environmental protection, encouraging everyone to contribute to a greener future.
Highlights
This year's program features a variety of activities ranging from water tours to career exploration:
- 《LOOK HARBOUR! Green Building Exploration》: Cruise along Victoria Harbour on an electric water taxi while experts explain the stories behind green buildings.
- 《LOOK CLOSER! Green Building Career Discovery》: Hosted at New Town Plaza, Shatin, this event includes interactive games, workshops, and expert sharing, perfect for family participation.
- 《LOOK INSIDE! Deep-Dive Tours》: Explore representative buildings and ecological sites, covering historical artifacts, nature conservation, and urban infrastructure.
Program
Green Knowledge Workshops
Includes workshops on "Smart Lighting," "Self-watering Flower Pots," and "Terrarium Making," allowing participants to learn about eco-technology through hands-on activities.
Guided Tours
- Art and Wellness Tour: Visit the Art Museum at the Chinese University of Hong Kong.
- Eco-Exploration Tour: Discover Long Valley Nature Park with guidance from senior bird watchers and wildlife photographers.
- Infrastructure Innovation Tour: Peek behind the scenes at the Central Kowloon Route Administrative Building.
- Cultural & Efficiency Tour: Explore the East Kowloon Cultural Centre.
Ticketing
Admission is free. For certain workshops and tours, a refundable deposit of $50 is required, which will be returned upon attendance. All activities require advance registration via the POPTICKET platform. Participants must be aged 6 or above; children under 12 must be accompanied by an adult.
