Program Introduction

'We Are Very Happy', a solo theatre production for women, has been staged nine times, accompanying countless audience members in their quest for happiness. Returning after a two-year hiatus, Noel Tsang shares her growth with a more mature and profound perspective. Transitioning from a single professional girl to a mother of two, the 42-year-old artist explores the protagonist Noel Tsang and 'Ali-B's' story. She shifts the interpretation of happiness from 'seeking' it externally to 'facing and embracing' it internally. Through this highly personal work, audience members are invited to confront the pains and voids of growing up, discovering their true, authentic selves through the power of art. Recommended for ages 6 and up.
