Highlights

This guided tour blends cultural exploration with environmental education, inviting participants to go deep into the lesser-known Sha Tau Kok community. Under the guidance of professional "Circle" ambassadors, you will visit the Octagon Recycling and Ecotourism Education Centre to learn about recycling, upcycling, and ecotourism. You will also visit the Sha Tau Kok Story House to savor the local history and culture through its exhibits.

Program

This tour offers a rich itinerary. Beyond the indoor educational and exhibition visits, the program includes a "Village Walk" segment, allowing participants to explore the streets of Sha Tau Kok, discover iconic photo spots, and put green living into practice. Upon completion, participants will receive Sha Tau Kok souvenirs, Lai Chi Wo tea bags, and refreshing drinks. Additionally, an "Orienteering" route is available for those interested in independent exploration of the village's features.

Important Notes & Registration

  • Target Audience: Ages 12 and above.
  • Closed Area Permit: Since the meeting and dismissal points are located within the Sha Tau Kok Closed Area, participants must apply for and obtain a Closed Area Permit (禁區紙) on their own to attend. It is recommended to apply as soon as possible after confirmation.
  • Deposit: A HK$100 deposit is required per person to secure a spot. The deposit will be refunded within 6 to 8 weeks after the event concludes upon attendance. Failure to attend will result in forfeiture of the deposit.
