Music Lab proudly presents 'Beethoven The Late', an immersive musical journey into the profound, complex, and spiritually resonant compositions of Ludwig van Beethoven's final creative period. Over the course of a single day at the Hong Kong City Hall Concert Hall, six distinguished pianists will collaborate to perform Beethoven's late piano sonatas, offering audience members an unforgettable and introspective musical marathon.

Beethoven's late sonatas represent the pinnacle of piano literature. Written in the face of profound personal upheaval and deafness, these works transcend traditional forms, characterized by daring experimentation, intense internal tension, and a sense of sublime serenity.

Afternoon Session (3:30 PM - 5:30 PM)

• Cheng Wai: Piano Sonata No. 27 in E Minor, Op. 90
• Colleen Lee: Piano Sonata No. 28 in A Major, Op. 101
• KJ Wong: Piano Sonata No. 29 in B-flat Major, Op. 106 'Hammerklavier'

Evening Session (8:00 PM - 10:00 PM)

• Nancy Loo: Piano Sonata No. 30 in E Major, Op. 109
• Hui Ling: Piano Sonata No. 31 in A-flat Major, Op. 110
• Zhang Tao: Piano Sonata No. 32 in C Minor, Op. 111

Ticketing Information

• Price: HKD 350 (Ticket includes both afternoon and evening sessions)
• Concession: HKD 250 for senior citizens aged 60+, people with disabilities and their caretakers, full-time students, and CSSA recipients.
• Notes: Suitable for ages 6 and above. Latecomers will only be admitted at appropriate intervals. The presenter reserves the right to change the program or performers.
