“So Far So True” Exhibition

Highlights

The “So Far So True” exhibition is an in-depth exploration and reflection on the nature of long-distance relationships. Curator Siu Tung Venus, together with local artists Ngai Wing Lam, Macy Tse Ming Sze, Siu Tung Venus, Guyshawn Wong, and Yan Wai Yin Winnie, re-examines the distances between people and their environment. The exhibition probes not only the spatial and temporal shifts caused by geographical distance but also analyzes how we maintain “truth” and sincerity in our connections through the mediation of modern communication technology.

Program

The term “True” is reinterpreted throughout the exhibition: it is not merely about factual correctness, but about an individual's consistent attitude and behavior within a relationship. The participating artists translate their intimate experiences of long-distance relationships into artistic language—covering connections with loved ones and even our relationship with the city itself. The exhibition guides the audience through the waits, differences, and discomforts brought about by technological communication, urging them to disconnect from past perceptions and rediscover a genuine connection with the present moment at the exhibition site.

Opening Gathering

The opening gathering will take place on August 28, 2026 (Friday) from 6:30 PM to 9:00 PM. Art enthusiasts are welcome to join the reception and engage with the creators.
