Program Details

A centerpiece of the exhibition is the debut of Jonas Ng’s latest pet portrait series, Between Hand and Heart. This collection deeply explores the intimate and profound emotional bond between humans and their pets, utilizing Fauvist techniques to imbue each portrait with intense vitality and narrative depth. In addition, the exhibition features vibrant oil paintings by participating students, showcasing their rich imaginations and experimental approaches to color. The exhibition aims to inspire every visitor to express their true selves through color.

Performers

The exhibition is curated by Jonas Ng, a prominent Fauvist painter active in the Hong Kong contemporary art scene. As both curator and artistic mentor, he is dedicated to promoting expressionism and encouraging more creators to engage in art practice. The 11 participating female creators bring their unique artistic perspectives and styles to this collective showcase.

Venue & Access

The event takes place at Joy in Art Gallery in Kwun Tong. Located on Lai Yip Street, the gallery serves as a key contemporary art space in Kowloon. For transport, visitors are advised to take the MTR to Ngau Tau Kok Station; from Exit B6, it is approximately an 8-10 minute walk to the Tung Lee Industrial Building.

Ticketing

Admission to the exhibition is free. However, given the nature of the space and to ensure an optimal viewing experience, the organizer recommends that visitors make an appointment in advance via official channels to secure their entry.
