Overview

'A Midsummer Night 2026' is a compelling theatre production that delves deep into the complexities of human nature and the pursuit of fame. The story centers around seven characters on a film set, caught in a struggle for power, profit, and self-identity. In a world where wining and dining are the norm, each character harbors their own agenda, willing to sacrifice anything for success. As the deafening applause rises, drowning out the whispers of conscience, what remains is an eerie silence. As the film rolls back frame by frame, where will their destinies lead? Through unique stage storytelling, this play invites the audience to reflect on the moral choices we face in our careers and lives.

Performers & Production

Presented by the 54th Hong Kong Polytechnic University Student Affairs Office Drama Society, this production brings together a passionate team of creative talents. Directed by Lam Ting-hei, the cast features Yip Hiu-kwan, Yeung Yiu-lam, Cheung Sum-yuet, Ng Ka-wing, Cheung Man-yee, Sum Sze-hang, and Lee Ching-ching. The production is meticulously crafted by a large team, including producers Mui Kai-yin and Tang Yi-lai, stage manager Suen Pak-yin, and numerous student designers working on set, sound, lighting, and costumes to bring the vision to life.

Venue & Access

The production will take place at the 'Hong Kong Polytechnic University Jockey Club Auditorium'. The venue is well-equipped and professional. The audience can travel via the MTR to Hung Hom Station, with the venue within walking distance.
