In celebration of National Day, Lele Chinese Orchestra proudly presents "Silk Road Magnificence: Years and Glory." This concert serves as a grand feast of traditional Chinese music, exploring the theme of the Silk Road to illustrate the inclusive nature of Chinese civilization and its magnificent evolution through the years.
Program
The concert features the renowned composer Jiang Ying, resident composer of the China National Symphony Orchestra, who will visit Hong Kong to collaborate with an esteemed group of national-level instrumentalists. Featured performers include erquan qin player Jin Yue (Concertmaster, China National Traditional Orchestra), zhongruan master Feng Mantian (National First-Class Performer), suona virtuoso Niu Jiandang (China National Traditional Orchestra), and violinist Yao Liang (Deputy Concertmaster, China National Symphony Orchestra).
The program showcases a mix of large-scale orchestral works such as "Silk Road," "Impression of Chinese Music," and "Hardship and Glory," alongside poignant concertos and chamber music pieces like "A Thought," "Rise and Fall," "Xintianyou Capriccio," and "Ode to the Years." These compositions vividly portray the historical echoes of the Silk Road and the spirit of the modern era.
