Immerse in the Aesthetics of Living: Daochang Summer Workshop

Looking Glass Interdisciplinary Studio (Littlebreath) presents the Daochang Summer Workshop: Aesthetics of Living, a comprehensive training program led by multifaceted artist Leung Hiu-tuen. Held at Room 403, Tai Po Arts Centre, this series invites participants to delve into the essence of performance as a way of sensing the world and reflecting on life. Whether you are a beginner looking to establish a solid foundation or an experienced practitioner seeking to refine your craft, this programme offers a unique space for exploration.

The Instructor and Philosophy

Leung Hiu-tuen is a distinguished performer, director, and dance dramaturg with a background in the Intercultural Theatre Institute (Singapore) and an MFA in Dramaturgy from the Hong Kong Academy for Performing Arts. Her work, often noted for its deep connection to the body and spatial arrangements, aligns perfectly with the philosophy of Littlebreath, which seeks to transform theatre into a holistic experience. As Leung believes, theatre is not just a performance but a conduit for personal and social exploration. By engaging in these workshops, participants are encouraged to cultivate awareness, precision, and the poetic link between text and movement.
