The Conference on Culture and Sustainable Development Hong Kong 2026 (CU:SU 2026), themed "Alliance for Action," continues the critical discourse established in 2025 regarding "Advocacy, Practice, and Conservation." The conference focuses on how the cultural sector can leverage international alliances and cross-sector collaborations to transform concepts into actionable solutions, addressing the urgent needs of sustainable development. This event is proudly featured as a "Partner Program" of the HK Performing Arts Expo 2026.

Program

Gathering artists and practitioners from diverse regions and cultural alliances, the two-day event offers a platform for deep dialogue and experience sharing:

• Day 1: Performing Arts and Sustainability Focuses on the sustainable development of performing arts, analyzing art ecology, creation conditions, and cooperative models to explore how the industry can thrive in various contexts.

• Day 2: Building Sustainable Communities Centers on community development, utilizing case studies from rural development, visual culture, and social innovation to examine how culture can strengthen social bonds, enhance wellbeing, and foster public engagement.

Various extension activities are scheduled during the conference to allow participants to delve deeper into specific topics of interest.
