'Cubop' emerged in 1940s New York, blending the high-energy pulse of Cuban percussion with the intricate harmonic structures of Bebop jazz. His album Cubop Lives! has received critical acclaim worldwide, including a four-week stint at the top of the JazzWeek radio charts.
