Event Overview

Presented by GoodGood Production, the "Movement Festival" takes place this Mid-Autumn in Tai Hang, offering a unique blend of traditional intangible cultural heritage and contemporary performance art. The event is hosted in a loft on Wun Sha Street, providing a climate-controlled vantage point to appreciate the iconic "Tai Hang Fire Dragon" dance away from the street-level crowds.

Program Highlights

The two-day event features a mix of cultural talks and live performances:

  • Cultural Talk (25 Sep, 6:00 PM): Dr. Li Juntong, Professor of Asian Art History at HKU, provides insights into the history and cultural roots of the Tai Hang Fire Dragon (conducted in English, no subtitles).
  • Contemporary Performance (26 Sep, 5:00 PM - 7:00 PM): A curated two-hour site-specific performance featuring artists such as Marah Arcilla, Balatro, Grace Chiu, Christine He, Man Hin-wun, and Wong Yuk-ying, exploring the intersection of art and community.

Attendees may pre-order meals from "Frontline Cafe" (via email between Sep 20-23). Beverages from "Tomo" will also be available for purchase on-site. Please note that outside food and drinks are not permitted to ensure the sustainability of our partners' business operations.
