The "Lucky Holy Land" Thangka Art Exhibition is a rare celebration of Tibetan Buddhist art, featuring masterpieces by Tashi Langdeng, a designated representative of the national intangible cultural heritage and the sixth-generation inheritor of Regong Thangka, alongside artist Dorje Tseten. Held at PMQ in Hong Kong, this exhibition displays nearly 60 museum-quality Thangka pieces created with traditional mineral pigments, ensuring vibrant colors that endure for centuries.
Program
Built around the core themes of "Heritage, Sacred Land, Blessing, and Devotion," the exhibition provides an in-depth exploration of this ancient art form. Master Tashi Langdeng, known for his decades of daily ritualistic practice and morning meditation before creating, imbues every stroke with profound devotion. The exhibition highlights include the epic "Five Hundred Arhats," a masterpiece years in the making. The five themed zones guide visitors through the history, techniques, colors, and philosophy of Thangka painting.
Furthermore, the "Qinghai Zone" offers plateau specialties including black goji berries, tea bags, and saffron. Attendees can also join specialized tea workshops to experience the tranquility of high-plateau living through aroma and taste.
