Presented by SAHK, sponsored by the Arts Development Fund for Persons with Disabilities, and curated by HASS Lab, the 'Art / Daily' exhibition is a groundbreaking project that bridges contemporary art with social welfare. This exhibition challenges conventional perceptions of 'daily life' and transforms mundane routines into inspiring artistic landscapes. Through the lens of socially engaged art, visitors are invited to witness the creative potential of people with disabilities, fostering a deeper dialogue between artistic expression and community support.
Program
The exhibition is the culmination of extensive collaboration, involving 9 service centers, over 20 museum visits, and more than 90 art workshops. The works are scattered across various spaces within Eaton HK:
- 4/F Tomorrow Maybe: Featuring themed zones such as the 'Story Museum', 'Time-Travel Music Tunnel', 'Conceptual Grocery Store', 'Tactile Art Zone', and 'Art in Progress'.
- G/F Hotel Lobby: A miniature display cabinet showcasing 'Art / Daily' highlights, providing an accessible entry point for all visitors.
- LG/F Food Hall: Featuring the 'Eaton Keung To Bay' installation, seamlessly blending art into the dining environment.
About the Project
This initiative highlights the creative achievements of students from SAHK service centers under the professional guidance of HASS Lab. It serves not merely as an exhibition, but as a platform for inclusivity, showcasing the profound impact of creative thinking on everyday life.
Venue & Access
The exhibition is held at Eaton HK, located at 380 Nathan Road, Jordan. Conveniently accessible via the Jordan MTR station, the hotel provides a central and welcoming space for all. We invite the public to explore these thoughtfully curated spaces and rediscover the artistry inherent in our daily experiences.
