Join us for the 'Sogetsu Ikebana x Mizuhiki Glass Bottle' workshop, hosted by Wa!CraftStudio. This creative session blends traditional Japanese aesthetics with modern crafting, offering a peaceful and artistic escape from the hustle and bustle of daily life.

Highlights

The workshop centers on the philosophy of 'Sogetsu Ikebana,' which encourages creativity using any materials—not just flowers, but also branches and found objects—to create art that fits any space. In addition to floral arrangements, you will learn the delicate Japanese art of 'Mizuhiki' (decorative paper cords) to adorn your glass bottle. With over 50 colors available, your creation will be truly one-of-a-kind.

Program Details

• Mizuhiki Bottle Crafting (Approx. 2.5 hours): Learn the techniques of knotting and tying Japanese paper cords to decorate your bottle from scratch.
• Sogetsu Ikebana Practice (Approx. 1.5 hours): A master-level instructor will introduce the concepts of Sogetsu, provide demonstrations of basic forms, and guide your hands-on creation of multiple floral designs.

Instructors

Hosted by Wa!CraftStudio, the workshop is led by instructors Ricky, Candy, and Sogetsu Ikebana master instructor Summer, who will provide expert guidance throughout the process.

Important Information

• Suitable for participants aged 16 and above.
• Participants should bring their own floral scissors and a small towel.
• You will take home your finished Mizuhiki-decorated glass bottle and your floral creation.
