A Chamber of Wonders

The Vision Behind the Chamber

Inspired by the historical cabinet of curiosities—a theatre of the rare and strange—Krystine Wen transforms this concept into a 'chamber of care.' Unlike traditional displays of exotic specimens, this exhibition focuses on the mundane, the overlooked, and the sentimental. Through a blend of risograph prints, screen printing, and experimental game design, Wen creates a sanctuary that bridges the gap between reality and fantasy. The exhibition aims to explore how we maintain our sense of self within a complex, often labyrinthine world.

Meet the Artist

Born in 2000, Wen Ching Yiu Krystine is a Hong Kong-based visual artist and graphic designer. Her practice is deeply rooted in personal memories and the 'beauty of imperfection.' By experimenting with varied graphic media, she challenges conventional aesthetics, offering a visual language that feels both nostalgic and refreshingly new. Her work is a testament to the idea that 'home' is not a fixed address, but a fictional space constructed through our cherished memories.
