Highlights

The "Neighbourhood Brewing Sharing Session," a cornerstone of the Quarryside Festival 2026, serves as a vital platform for practitioners and experts to discuss the philosophy and methodology behind "community brewing." The event consists of two insightful sessions, offering a deep dive into how creativity and culture can bridge neighbourhood connections and revitalize local communities.

Program Overview

This session features two thematic segments focusing on the transformation from community observation to actionable placemaking:

Session 1: "Quarryside" Neighbourhood Brewing Studies (16:00 - 17:00)

Reflecting on the past year, the Quarryside team and community co-learners have been traversing Quarry Bay and the Taikoo community. This session features the "Brewing Place" and "Make a Difference" teams, who will share their experiences in observing daily life, building genuine relationships with residents, and co-creating within the neighbourhood.

Session 2: Cultural-Led Placemaking - Hong Kong Case Studies (17:00 - 18:00)

This segment examines culture as a catalyst for community revitalization. Project leaders will share local case studies, demonstrating how historical, artistic, and traditional narratives can be excavated and innovated to foster stronger community identity and local development.
