Art Together: Spooktacular Heritage - Whispers of the City

Overview

'Spooktacular Heritage: Whispers of the City' challenges conventions by inviting you into the century-old Cattle Depot Artist Village in To Kwa Wan. Using intangible cultural heritage as a starting point, this event combines traditional crafts with modern creativity through cross-disciplinary art workshops like sugar art, paper crafting, and styling. It is more than just a Halloween experience—it is a journey of cultural discovery that explores connections and memories. We believe that stories passed by word of mouth carry not just strange tales, but the invisible bonds that link us together.

Program Highlights

The event features various workshops and night-time experiences:

• 'Wealth at First Sight' Sugar Art Workshop: Artist Rik Yu guides participants in transforming traditional sugar art into whimsical creations that are both thrilling and sweet.
• 'Make a Good Friend' Paper Craft Workshop: Artist Tang Kwok-hin reinvents the craft of paper offerings, inviting you to create your own unique 'friend'.
• 'More Than Just Makeup': Makeup artist Holok Chen explores Chinese-style horror aesthetics through creative makeup techniques.
