Drum Jam: 25th Anniversary Celebration [Early Bird]

Highlights

Drum Jam is celebrating its 25th anniversary, marking a quarter-century of providing a unique space for the people of Hong Kong to disconnect from their screens and reconnect through the shared power of rhythm. With over 30,000 participants over the past 25 years, this event remains a cornerstone of urban communal music-making.

Program

This is not a traditional sit-back-and-watch concert; it is a fully participatory rhythm experience. Led by the acclaimed Japanese percussionist Kumi Masunaga and her team, participants will journey through dynamic rhythmic flows, from high-energy beats to subtle, collective improvisations. No prior musical experience is required. All instruments are provided, and everyone is invited to express themselves and build wordless connections with fellow participants. Special guest appearances from past Drum Jam events will add even more flavor to this milestone celebration.

Performers

Led by percussionist and instructor Kumi Masunaga, featuring the Drum Jam team and several returning special guests from previous years.

Venue & Access

The event will be hosted at the Fringe Dairy, Fringe Club, located at 2 Lower Albert Road, Central. Guests are encouraged to arrive early, grab a drink at the bar, choose their favorite drum, and get ready to kick off their weekend with rhythmic energy.
