Tailored for graduates of the "Expressive Arts Therapy Experience and Arts Application Course," this advanced four-session workshop dives deep into the therapeutic potential of visual art mediums, such as watercolor, pastel, clay, and collage. Participants will refine their ability to create "safe spaces" for artistic expression and develop practical skills to design and lead interventions tailored to diverse populations, including children, youth, the elderly, and those with special needs. This course bridges the gap between artistic creation and professional practice.

Program Structure

Through a blend of theoretical lectures and hands-on practice, the curriculum guides students through the nuances of artistic intervention:

• Session 1: Therapeutic Exploration of Visual Media – Investigating how sensory qualities of various materials carry emotions and symbols, training participants to make intentional material selections based on client needs.
• Session 2: Activity Design & Facilitation Skills – Analyzing the expression characteristics of different demographic groups and mastering cultural sensitivity principles to enhance inclusivity in activity design.
• Session 3: Contextual Application & Collaborative Creation – Exploring unique applications of visual art in individual counseling, group work, and community settings, along with techniques for effective facilitation.
• Session 4: Experience Integration & Thematic Application – A practical capstone where participants work in groups to design and present a 30-minute themed visual arts workshop (e.g., stress management or self-care), receiving feedback and synthesis from instructors.
