Highlights
Organized by the Hong Kong Council of Social Service (HKCSS) at Central Market, the 'Life and Death Education Friendly Festival 2026 — Goods4Death' is dedicated to integrating death education and end-of-life care into our daily routine. This event is more than a market; it is a unique cultural and educational experience that provides practical support, services, and products to help the public confront the final chapter of life with dignity and preparedness.
Program
The core philosophy of 'Goods4Death' is that end-of-life care should be a part of everyday living. Through this market, visitors can explore various end-of-life services and products designed to assist patients in maintaining an autonomous life, while supporting caregivers as they prepare for the journey of bereavement. A major feature of the exhibition is the 'Footprints of Life' zone. By collecting the stories and memories of the deceased, the exhibition explores the deep meaning of life and the lasting legacy left behind. The public is invited to share their tributes either on-site or via an online form. These personal stories—including names, dates, relationships, and the values passed down—will be displayed across a ten-meter-long memorial wall, ensuring every life is recognized and every memory has a place to rest.
Venue & Access
The event is held at the 1/F Event Space and the 2/F 24-hour pedestrian walkway of Central Market. Located in the heart of the city, Central Market is easily accessible via the MTR Central or Hong Kong Stations, with convenient connections via the elevated walkway system or ground-level access. We welcome all who are interested in exploring these meaningful life topics to visit, or to share this information with those who may find it helpful.
