Overview

As part of the DesignInspire 2026 programme, "Hong Kong Nada Leather Craft" presents the "Nostalgic Mailbox" workshop, inviting participants to explore the intricate world of leather artistry. In our digital age, the traditional mailbox stands as a beautiful reminder of a time when written communication carried deep emotion. This workshop is more than a hands-on crafting session; it is a profound dialogue with the past. Under the guidance of professional instructors Kwok Shing-hei and Tam Wai-ling, participants will use premium materials to cut, punch, and stitch their own miniature vintage-style mailboxes, bringing a touch of retro charm into modern life.

In this workshop that blends aesthetic design with traditional craftsmanship, you will:

• Master Fundamentals: Learn basic leatherworking techniques through easy-to-follow steps, transforming flat leather into a structured 3D object.
• Craftsmanship Experience: Engage in traditional hand-stitching, feeling the unique texture and natural warmth of premium leather.
• Personalization: Express your creativity by embossing your own English name or a special message onto the leather, creating a one-of-a-kind memento.
• Nostalgic Touch: Revisit the postal charm of old Hong Kong through this miniature design, making it a perfect retro desk accessory.

• Time: 11:00 AM – 12:30 PM
• Venue: 3D-3E Exhibition Hall, Hong Kong Convention and Exhibition Centre
• Participation Fee: Please register via the art-mate platform. A deposit of HK$100 is required per ticket to secure your spot. For participants who attend the event on time, the deposit will be fully refunded to the payment account used during registration within 6 to 8 weeks after the event concludes. The deposit is non-refundable for no-shows.

Important Notes

• Age Limit: Suitable for participants aged 10 and above.
• Venue Registration: As this workshop is part of DesignInspire 2026, please note that completing the art-mate registration is not enough. You must also separately register as a visitor on the official DesignInspire 2026 website to enter the exhibition venue.
• Attendance Policy: Please arrive on time. If you do not appear within 15 minutes of the event start time, your spot will be forfeited and may be offered to walk-ins. In such cases, the deposit will not be refunded.
