Co-presented by the Leisure and Cultural Services Department and Le French May Arts Festival, with generous sponsorship from The Hong Kong Jockey Club Charities Trust and the Mega Arts and Cultural Events Fund, "Encountering the Mona Lisa: The Renaissance Re-envisioned" blends arts tech with historical masterpieces to offer an unprecedented Renaissance experience in Hong Kong.

Program

The exhibition is divided into two major sections:

• Part I: "Encountering the Mona Lisa": This section features an immersive multimedia production specially created for Hong Kong by the Louvre Museum and the Grand Palais Immersif. Through cutting-edge immersive technology and interactive installations, audiences will experience a modern interpretation of Da Vinci’s masterpiece. Visitors will feel as if they are traveling through time, engaging with the iconic work from a whole new perspective.
• Part II: "The Renaissance Re-envisioned": This section showcases precious artifacts loaned from esteemed institutions such as the National Museum of the Renaissance in France and the Veneranda Biblioteca Ambrosiana in Italy. Highlights include four rare sketches and notes by Leonardo da Vinci, alongside works by other Renaissance masters, providing an in-depth look at the profound artistic heritage of the era.

The exhibition is held at the Special Exhibition Galleries 3, 4, and 5 of the Hong Kong Heritage Museum. Address: 1 Man Lam Road, Sha Tin, Hong Kong.

• Transportation: Visitors can take the MTR to Che Kung Temple Station or Sha Tin Station and walk to the museum. Its accessibility makes it a perfect destination for individual visitors or couples interested in history and culture.
