Introduction
Celebrating the centenary of the iconic Rollei camera brand, the "Etched in Time" photography exhibition is proudly presented at the Hong Kong Arts Centre by Rollei, in collaboration with the Hong Kong brand Artra and the Hong Kong Institute of Professional Photographers (HKIPP). This exhibition serves as an immersive journey into the world of film photography, inviting visitors to explore the power of the lens to capture, preserve, and contemplate the nature of time itself.
Highlights
The exhibition showcases a curated selection of works by six distinguished Hong Kong creators: Chow Yun-fat, Lau Kwun-tang, Tse Kwan-ho, Tang Ying-ki, Choi King-yan, and Luk Ngai-yeung. Using the classic Rolleiflex twin-lens reflex cameras, these artists have curated a diverse visual narrative spanning nostalgic streetscapes of old Hong Kong, the quiet intimacy of local housing estates, commercial photography classics, scenic travel memories, and behind-the-scenes moments from film sets. Each photograph invites viewers to reflect on the fleeting nature of light and the enduring power of photographic memory.
In addition to the prints, the exhibition highlights a special collection of vintage Rolleiflex cameras, showcasing the unmatched precision and craftsmanship behind these legendary optical instruments. Furthermore, Artra presents its commemorative timepieces in partnership with Rollei, drawing a profound parallel between the mechanics of photography and the precision of fine watchmaking. The exhibition is complemented by a selection of photography books curated by the local photography bookstore "PhotoBookStore" (顯影堂), offering an extensive opportunity to dive deep into the culture, history, and literature of analog photography.

The exhibition is hosted at the Hong Kong Arts Centre in Wan Chai from November 7 to 9, 2026. Admission is free, providing a valuable opportunity for art enthusiasts and the general public to delve into the rich heritage and artistry of film photography.
