About the Play
"The Unforeseen Evening" is a new original reading theatre production written by Chan Lit-man and directed by Law Chung-kin. The narrative unfolds in the early hours of a Saturday—the very first birthday Ronnie celebrates after the passing of her fiancé. When her friends Ted and Wing arrive with gifts and cake, this unexpected gathering compels the trio to sift through the shards of their collective memories and attempt to reconstruct their past. As the relentless tide of time forces them to confront life’s transience, the play asks a poignant question: can we truly reconcile with our own vulnerabilities and attachments?
