Overview
Experience a vibrant tango extravaganza where live music, dance, and lighting intersect. The Hong Kong Tango Orchestra presents a diverse musical journey, exploring various arrangements from quintets and sextets to octets, fully capturing the grandeur of a traditional Argentine Orquesta Típica. The program spans the captivating rhythms of tango’s Golden Age, the revolutionary compositions of Astor Piazzolla, and contemporary avant-garde works.
Performers
This concert features a stellar lineup of international musicians, including Argentine bandoneon master Nicolás Enrich, award-winning bandoneonist Mark Wu, and double bassist Justin Siu. Joining them are internationally acclaimed violinist Ruda Lee—who has graced the stages of Carnegie Hall and the Kennedy Center—and pianist Stephanie Fung, known for her concerto performances in Hong Kong, Australia, and Japan. Together with the Hong Kong Tango Orchestra, they will navigate the emotional depth of tango, from lyrical tenderness to fiery intensity.
Adding to the spectacle, the dance collective Tango Untitled will perform with up to four pairs of dancers, responding to the live music with intricate footwork, bringing the dramatic tension and intimacy of Argentine tango to life before your eyes.

- Standard Period (starting Nov 13): Bundling the Milonga and the Concert entitles you to participate in the workshops and masterclasses held from December 3rd to 4th.
