Hong Kong Tango Orchestra Gala - Milonga [Early Bird Package]

Highlights

Join us for the "Hong Kong Tango Orchestra Gala," returning for its third edition at the Jockey Club Creative Arts Centre (JCCAC). Set in the industrial-chic environment of this renovated art space, this event captures the authentic spirit of a Buenos Aires milonga.

Program

The event features two distinct parts designed to fully immerse you in the world of tango:

• Beginner Tango Workshop (17:00 - 18:00): Designed specifically for newcomers, this introductory session is led by renowned Argentine dancer Eliana Sanchez Arteaga. With over 30 years of international performance and teaching experience, Eliana will guide you through the essentials of musicality, connection, and improvisation, helping you find your rhythm.
• Milonga Artística (18:00 - 20:00): Experience the raw power of live music from the 14-piece Hong Kong Tango Orchestra. This special edition features a guest performance by Argentine bandoneon master Nicolás Enrich. Having performed for 15 years with the Orquesta Nacional de Música Argentina "Juan de Dios Filiberto" and collaborated with legendary ensembles like Sexteto Mayor, Enrich brings profound musical depth to the dance floor. The orchestra's mentor, award-winning bandoneonist Mark Ng, will also join the ensemble, with DJ tracks curated by TDJ Mantisa throughout the night.
