WORKING: The Musical

Program Introduction

Based on Studs Terkel's iconic book, "WORKING" is a compelling musical that brings to life the stories of over 20 diverse characters, each representing different walks of life and professions. The production weaves these individual narratives into a tapestry that explores the joys, struggles, and hidden realities of work. It is an honest reflection on the human experience, capturing those thoughts and feelings that often go unspoken in our daily grind. Whether it's the daily routine, the persistent problems without easy answers, or the unspeakable emotions hidden in daily life, this show gives a voice to those who are often ignored.

Creative Team

This production is presented by the Hong Kong Musical Theatre Academy. The creative team includes Artistic Director and Choreographer Tse Hon-man, Director Wong Chun-ho, and Music Director Law Kin-pong. The vocal coaching team features Christian Fletcher, Cheung Kwok-wing, and Ho Long-kak. The production values are elevated by a talented design team, including Set Designer Wong Tsz-chun, Costume Designer Lai Ngai-ting, Lighting Designer Yip Chun-lam, and Sound Designer Yik Yan-chun, promising a high-quality theatrical experience.

• Language: Cantonese dialogue with English songs.

Ticketing

The performance will take place at the Sha Tin Town Hall Cultural Activities Hall. Standard tickets are priced at HKD 280. Concessionary tickets (HKD 180) are available for full-time students, senior citizens aged 60 or above, people with disabilities and their minders, and CSSA recipients.
