About the Program

"An Encountered Evening" is a brand-new original play reading written by emerging playwright Chen Liewen and directed by Law Chung-kin. The story unfolds in the early hours of a Saturday, following the recent passing of Ronnie’s fiancé. Her friends, Ted and Wing, visit her home with gifts and a cake to celebrate her first birthday since the loss. On this serendipitous evening, the trio pieces together fragments of their memories, carefully reconstructing their past. In the face of the relentless passage of time, will you choose to reconcile with your own vulnerabilities and obsessions?
