Highlights
Welcome to the "Floral Radiance" textile art workshop, a creative encounter where natural aesthetics meet personal memories. Led by contemporary artist Wuyazhi, participants will explore the fascinating "cyanotype" printing technique to capture precious floral moments from daily life and preserve them on textiles.
Program
In this workshop, you will delve into the expressive potential of textile art. No prior design or crafting experience is necessary; everyone is welcome:
- Personalized Fabric Creation: Craft your own Japanese-style "Azuma Bukuro" (traditional folding tote bag), perfect for daily use or as a unique keepsake.
- Collaborative Exhibition: One of your creations will contribute to a collaborative artwork that will be officially exhibited at CHAT (Centre for Heritage, Arts and Textile) this November.
Important Notes
- Participants are required to submit photos via email a few days prior to the event. Please note that your submitted images may become part of the artist's new creative works.
- The workshop is conducted in English with basic Cantonese interpretation provided.
- We invite you to share your memories of your surroundings, allowing art to bridge the gap between people and nature.
Ticketing
This workshop is free to attend, but a HKD 50 deposit is required. Please note that the deposit will be fully refunded upon your participation in the event. Spaces are limited, so please register early.
