Overview
'The Performativity Dimension' is the second installment of the 'Beyond Discipline' forum series, continuing the investigation into non-text-based theatre initiated in 2024. Presented by No Discipline Limited, the forum examines the diverse forms of 'performance' within theatre, exhibition spaces, and site-specific environments. Through discussions with diverse creators and curators, we dissect the positioning and configuration of performance across varied contexts.
Program
The forum takes place over two days with multiple in-depth sessions:
- Session 1 (June 26): Focuses on the possibilities and limitations within theatre, exploring the nexus of 'theatricality' and 'performativity'.
- Session 2 (June 26): Discusses the intersection of visual arts and performance, covering presence, time, and action.
- Session 3 (June 26): Examines the curator's role in situating performance within different institutional frameworks.
- Session 4 (June 28): Features ten artists from 'Platform Undefined' sharing their insights and experiences from recent artistic exchanges.
