"Strike·Voice" is an innovative music project that boldly fuses contemporary percussion with Cantonese art songs. Presented by tenor Dr. Stephen Ng and international percussion soloist Dr. Matthew Lau, the concert features collaborations with three award-winning composers. Using classical Song Dynasty poetry and modern prose by Professor Chow Yiu-fai as lyrical material, the performance showcases the unique phonetic and expressive potential of the Cantonese language through groundbreaking orchestration.

More than just a concert, this project is a cultural statement dedicated to promoting the preservation and transformation of Cantonese within the rigorous context of art song. The 60-minute performance is followed by an artist Q&A session, offering the audience an opportunity to engage directly with the performers.
