Overview

Young pianist Lan Ruiming is set to grace the stage at the RCMA Recital Hall on Sunday, July 5, for an exquisite solo piano recital. As a rising star, Lan has already established a reputation for excellence, notably winning the 85th Steinway International Youth Piano Competition and recently securing first place at the 7th UCSI International Piano Festival and Competition in May.

Program

The recital program is carefully curated to showcase a diverse range of musical styles through works by three renowned composers:

  • Johann Sebastian Bach: Italian Concerto in F Major, BWV 971
  • Johannes Brahms: Eight Piano Pieces, Op. 76
  • Benjamin Lees: Fantasia

About the Artist

Born in Hong Kong, Lan Ruiming is currently a first-year music student at The Hong Kong Academy for Performing Arts (HKAPA) on a full scholarship. He studies under the tutelage of Professor Gabriel Kwok and Head of Keyboard Studies Yuri Shadrin. His foundation was built during his studies in the HKAPA's Junior Music Program under Dr. Emily Shum.
