Overview
"Moistening Things Silently," presented by Mello Duo, is a contemporary musical journey that transcends geographical and sensory boundaries. Percussionist and organizer Qiu Qiaolin features cellist Yeh Tzu-yi, currently based in the US, in this unique collaboration. The performance is divided into two parts: the first half draws inspiration from Hong Kong and Taiwanese culture, featuring a selection of contemporary chamber works, including world premieres of commissioned pieces by Professor Chan Hing-yan (University of Hong Kong) and Professor Sang Lei-pak (National Kaohsiung Normal University). The second half shifts into a contemporary context, integrating electronic music with theatrical elements to expand the possibilities of sound.
Visual Elements
Beyond the auditory experience, New York University visual artist Zhu Pei-en will provide dynamic visual art that interacts in real-time with the live music, immersing the audience in a multi-layered modern artistic landscape.
