Overview
"Migratory Birds" is a selected piece from the Hong Kong Repertory Theatre's inaugural "Kite Project." After two rounds of script readings and refinement, it is now brought to the stage by "Pencil Production." The story centers on two souls at opposite stages of life: 17-year-old Ada, an aspiring baseball player who runs away after a heated argument with his mother over his future, and 78-year-old Uncle Hou, a life-long farmer desperate to protect the orchard left behind by his late loved one from an impending eviction. When the two meet at the orchard, a poignant journey about the meaning of freedom unfolds. As a storm approaches, they must navigate their own turbulence and find solace.
