Overview
"Aloha Summer Camp: Little Renaissance Artists" is a creative arts course designed to cultivate artistic literacy and creativity in children. Participants will explore the Renaissance art movement, studying the techniques of masters like Leonardo da Vinci, Michelangelo, and Raphael. This course focuses on building a solid foundation in drawing and sculpting, encouraging children to express their creative ideas while developing an appreciation for art history and the natural world.
Program Details
The curriculum spans six sessions:
- Session 1: Into the Renaissance - Explore backgrounds and techniques like depth and colour.
- Session 2: Sketching Like Da Vinci - Master drawing basics by sketching the Vitruvian Man.
- Session 3: Michelangelo's Sculptures - Practice 3D structural techniques through David’s bust study.
- Session 4: Colour and Light - Master watercolour and lighting effects through Raphael’s works.
- Session 5: Religious Art - Explore masterpieces like The Last Supper and create original works.
- Session 6: Creative Mixed Media - Integrate Renaissance inspiration with diverse art materials.
