Highlights

Join the 'Lived and Living: In-depth Tour of Lo Wai Village' hosted by 'Go For Creative IDEA' and led by experienced guide Yu Shuk-mei. This tour invites you to escape the urban hustle and bustle to explore Lo Wai Village, a hidden Hakka ancient village at the foot of Tai Mo Shan with over 300 years of history.

Program

This in-depth tour is more than just sightseeing; it is a journey of historical and cultural inheritance. In 2006, guide 'Ah May' initiated the 'Lo Wai Village Lived and Living Art and Culture Promotion Project' to raise public awareness of the village's conservation through community art and drama. Twenty years later, she invites you to retrace her steps to explore nearly 50 temples, appreciate 400 meters of murals, and visit natural spots like the Sam Dip Tam waterfall.

Starting from Tsuen Wan MTR Station Exit C, the tour passes through Luk Yeung Sun Chuen and Shek Wai Kok Estate, finally concluding at The Yuen Yuen Institute. Participants will gain insight into the stories of traditional Hakka architecture and witness how the village continues to thrive on the edge of the modern city.
