Overview

The Xi Xi Foundation presents a special project, 'Deep Dive into "The City"', centered around the classic novel by renowned Hong Kong author Xi Xi. The project transforms the 18 chapters of the novel into 18 immersive 'deep dive' experiences. This initiative goes beyond a literary retrospective, offering a multi-faceted exploration of the symbiotic resonance between the 'self' and the 'city' through cross-regional and cross-media artistic engagement.

Highlights

• Exclusive Exhibits: The exhibition showcases previously unseen manuscripts, rare books, and original paintings by Xi Xi. It also features historical printing plates and newspaper clippings from the original serial publication of 'The City'.
• 'Redrawing The City' Exhibition: Accompanied by a joint exhibition where various artists interpret the imagery within the novel through visual art.
• Immersive Space: Linked with the permanent exhibition of the writer's living room at the Xi Xi Space, providing a unique look into the creative environment of the author.
• Book Purchase Discount: Visitors can enjoy a HKD 50 discount on their total book purchase at the venue (excluding souvenirs and pre-order items).

Curators

Organized by the Xi Xi Foundation, the project is curated by Ho Fuk-yan, Chan Chak-lam, Lau Wai-shing, and Chow Yee-ling, who have dedicated their expertise to crafting this comprehensive literary experience.
